Bright Minds, the official foundation of The Howard County Public School System (HCPSS), is pleased to announce the election of officers for 2021-2022.

• Chair: Suzi Padgett, Vice President and Branch Manager, Long and Foster Columbia
• Vice Chair: Lisa Terry, Manager Office of Veterans and Military Families Dept. of Community Resources and Services, Howard County Government
• Secretary: Jennifer Van Kirk, Marketing Consultant, Former Director of Corporate Partnerships, International Youth Foundation
• Treasurer: Leslie Barnett, Assistant Director, Community Services Division, Columbia Association
• Assistant Treasurer: Kim Sweatt, Commercial Payment Sales Consultant, M&T Bank
• Immediate Past Chair Clarissa Evans , HCPSS Executive Director Retired

“I am honored to have been elected Chair of the Bright Minds Foundation Board of Directors. It’s beyond inspiring to see the impact Bright Minds has on the Howard County community, and how the organization is working to further its efforts. The entire Bright Minds Board of Directors and staff thank Julie Myers for her role as Secretary for the past four years and Michael Iwanczuk for his role as Treasurer for the past two years.
