(Ellicott City, MD) — Bright Minds Foundation, the education foundation of the Howard County Public School System (HCPSS), announces the launch of the HCPSS Alumni & Friends Network. Developed in partnership with HCPSS, this Network is designed to connect alumni, teachers, parents, and community members with ties to Howard County public schools.
Through this Network, members will have the opportunity to:
- Stay connected or reconnect with former classmates, teachers, and friends.
- Engage in networking opportunities, reunions, and social events.
- Contribute to the success of HCPSS students through volunteer and other support opportunities.
By strengthening the sense of community and shared purpose among those who have been part of Howard County public schools, Bright Minds strives to enhance educational experiences and outcomes for current and future students.
“Whether you are an alum, parent, teacher, or supporter, your involvement in the HCPSS Alumni & Friends Network will help us build a stronger, more vibrant educational community,” said Jennifer Van Kirk, Executive Director of Bright Minds Foundation. “This network will not only help alumni and community members stay connected but also create avenues for them to give back and make a meaningful impact on the lives of current and future HCPSS students.”
To join HCPSS Alumni & Friends Network, visit brightmindsfoundation.org/alumni. Annual memberships are available for $20.24 and lifetime memberships are available for $150. All new members will receive a sticker from their high school alma mater.

About Bright Minds Foundation:
As the Howard County public schools education foundation, Bright Minds Foundation works to ensure each child in Howard County has access to the education, resources, and opportunities they need to succeed at school and in life. We bring together community support for initiatives that address critical resource and opportunity gaps faced by students and educators in our community. Bright Minds programs respond to the urgent and ongoing needs of children in four areas: early childhood literacy, resources that remove barriers to learning, college access, and teacher support and development.
