Night of Honor Event to Recognize HCPSS Staff and Alumni, May 7

In partnership with the Howard County Public School System (HCPSS), Bright Minds Foundation will host the 2019 Night of Honor to recognize outstanding HCPSS staff and alumni on Tuesday, May 7, from 6:30-9 p.m. Night of Honor will celebrate the Principal of the Year and Teachers of the Year, as well as the inaugural winners of the Work Hard Be Kind Award and the Work Hard Be Kind Outstanding Alumni Award. 

The Work Hard Be Kind Award, created by Superintendent Michael J. Martirano, honors HCPSS employees who go above and beyond to embody kindness while consistently doing their best work. The Work Hard Be Kind Outstanding Alumni Award celebrates alumni who have achieved the highest level of accomplishment while demonstrating service to the Howard County community. Nominations for the Work Hard Be Kind Outstanding Alumni Award will be are due April 19.

The celebratory event, taking place at Long Reach High School, 6101 Old Dobbin Lane, Columbia, MD 21045, will include award presentations, music by the Marriotts Ridge High School jazz combo, performance by the All County Improv troupe, and a sweet and savory reception. Tickets are available at $15 through the Bright Minds Foundation.
